I attended Ontario Tech University (formerly UOIT or University of Ontario Institute of Technology) in Oshawa, Ontario. I began my studies in 2016 and graduated in 2021. My B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering has provided me with a robust knowledge of mechanical systems, basic levels of coding experience and unparalleled team working skills.
My favourite course was a fourth year Advanced Materials Engineering course because it really relates to the practical implementation of material properties to real life engineering problems.
This is the OPG Engineering building on Ontario Tech's North Campus, and happens to be where I spent most of my time while in school.
In my second year Fluid Mechanics class we determined an average human could outrun a T-rex!
As mechanical engineering student, I spent my fair share of time building my coding skills, like this Matlab code from my Control Systems class in third year.
I thrive on being able to give back to my communities! Sharing my experiences and time with people is very fulfilling and happens to be why I was involved in several on-campus clubs and external organizations, like Women in Engineering, hEr VOLUTION and several mentorship programs.
I was involved with Ontario Tech Women in Engineering since before I officially began my studies at the school! In grade 12, I took part in their first ever Discover Engineering event. I stayed on-campus overnight with other incoming women in engineering students as well as a handful of welcoming upper years. It was a great initial experience!
